The School of Architecture did exceptionally well in the very important research assessment exercise which is held once every five years. We have been graded as one of the three top Schools in the UK in the Research Assessment Exercise results released on 18th December. The Guardian newspaper ranks the School as third highest in the UK, only Cambridge University (first) and University College London (second) above it. More than 90% of the School's staff were submitted for assessment and 75% of their work was rated at 4* or 3*. Architecture was one of the very highest rated departments in the University of Liverpool. This is an immense honor for the staff of the School, and the research environment they have created.
